Can I import straight from Google Sheets or a web address?
No. Content Uploader reads files you upload; download your Google Sheet as .xlsx or CSV first. Images, however, can be given as web addresses in the spreadsheet.

No. A person uploads a file on the dashboard (drop it on the configuration's card); Content Uploader does not connect to Google Sheets, read a shared link or fetch a file on a schedule. In Google Sheets, use File → Download → Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) or Comma Separated Values (.csv) and upload the downloaded file.
Two things that are not the same: images in the spreadsheet can be web addresses (https://…), which are downloaded when the file is checked (images from web addresses); and automatic publishing publishes an uploaded file without a second click, but it never starts by itself (automatic publishing).
