Will publishing slow down my website?
Hardly: items are sent one at a time for each site, and each one is an ordinary save through your CMS. A very large file simply takes longer.

Content Uploader is gentle by design: items are sent one at a time for each site, in the order of the file, and each is one save through your CMS (with all its plugins), as if an editor had pressed Save. Images are delivered once per distinct image and site.
Because items go one at a time, a large file takes longer than a small one, and a busy or slow site is slower still. If your host is sensitive, publish large files outside peak hours or in parts (large files).
What was queued is never lost: if the site stops answering, items are retried automatically and can be retried by hand.
