My changes do not appear on the site
What to do when a file says everything is up to date, a changed value is not published or the site shows old content: the file, the mapping, the review and the cache.

You changed the spreadsheet, uploaded it, and your site still shows the old content. The review and the file's page say where the change went missing.
Symptoms#
- The file's page says Everything is up to date: all N items already match the destination. Nothing needed publishing.
- The review shows the item as Unchanged, or does not list the change.
- The review is full of changes, but nothing happened on the site.
- The site still shows the old text after the file says Published.
Likely causes#
Confirmed (reproduced in our tests of the update flow):
- The column you changed is not mapped. Content Uploader looks only at columns the configuration uses; changing an unused column changes nothing. Uploading the unchanged file again also finds nothing to publish.
- The field is set to Keep existing on updates or Use destination default. Such a field is not sent after the first publish, so changing the cell has no effect.
- The file is waiting for you. The review is ready, but nobody pressed Publish: nothing is written until someone does (the Uploads badge counts these files).
- The row is an error or is skipped, so it is not published (4 rows with errors will be skipped.).
- The record ID differs from what was published, so the row is a new item rather than an update (every row is new).
Possible:
- The spreadsheet's value is not what you think: a formula that was not recalculated before saving, a change on the second sheet (only the first is read), or a filtered row you edited in a copy.
- Your site shows a cached page. A caching plugin, a CDN or the browser keeps the old version. The post itself is updated.
- An image was replaced by a picture with the same name and content, or a web address whose picture changed behind the same address, is not noticed (reusing and replacing images).
Step-by-step solution#
- Open the file's page. Does it say Ready for review? Then publish, or read why it is waiting. Does it say Done? Go on.
- Open the item in the review (or in Unchanged) and look at the fields: if your changed field is not listed in the table at all, it is not mapped, or it is set to keep. Open the configuration (Edit configuration) and check the field's mode (value modes).
- Map the column or change the mode to Source column, save, then select Check again with version N on the file's page: the review now lists the item as updated.
- Check for errors and skipped items: the tiles show them.
- Check the value in the spreadsheet: select the cell and read it in the formula bar.
- Clear your site's cache, and look at the post in the editor (the editor shows the saved content, the page may be cached).
How to verify#
- The review lists the item as Updated, with the field's old and new value.
- After publishing, the post's editor shows the new value, and the page does after the cache is cleared.
- Uploading the file once more says Everything is up to date.
If it persists#
Contact support with the record ID, the field and the configuration's name, and say what the review shows for that item.
