Before you start
Setting up
- Installing the Content Uploader Connector in JoomlaDownload the connector package from the Sites page and install it in Joomla under System, Install, Extensions. What you should see afterwards and what to check if it fails.
- Connecting your Joomla siteStart the connection from Joomla, choose the account that publishes, sign in to Content Uploader and approve the workspace. No Joomla password or API token is entered there.
- The Joomla publishing account and its permissionsContent Uploader publishes to Joomla as one account you choose: which to pick, the permissions it needs for articles, terms, custom fields, authors and images.
Using the connection
- Testing the Joomla connection and refreshing what your site offersUse Refresh fields to test the connection to your Joomla site and to make new categories, custom fields, access levels and authors available to your configurations.
- Updating the Joomla connectorSee which connector version your site runs, update it with Joomla's updater or by installing the new package, and check the result. Your connection and mappings carry over.
- Renewing access to your Joomla site, or reconnecting itAccess to a Joomla site lasts 90 days. How the reminders work, how to renew in one click without signing in to Joomla, and how to reconnect when renewing is not possible.
- Disconnecting a Joomla site and uninstalling the connectorHow to end Content Uploader's access to a Joomla site, what stays on the site, and what uninstalling the connector keeps so that a reinstall creates no duplicate articles.
