Content Uploader sends only the emails it needs to: the ones below. This page tells you which you should expect and what to do when one is missing.
Symptoms#
- No verification email after signing up.
- No password reset email.
- A colleague says an invitation never arrived.
- No email when a file is ready for review or published.
Likely causes#
Confirmed (the program's own rules):
- The email is in the spam or promotions folder, or your mail system delayed it.
- A typo in the address, so it went elsewhere.
- Emails for files are off. Each configuration has a switch, Send emails when a file is ready for review, needs attention or has been published.
- You are not the person whose action the email follows. A file's emails go to the person who uploaded it (or asked for a check), and the publishing email goes to the person who published (who receives which email).
- You lost access to the site: a team member whose access to a site was withdrawn no longer receives emails about its files.
- The reset link request was for an address without an account. For safety the page gives the same answer either way: We have emailed your password reset link.
Possible: a company mail filter that removes links, or a full mailbox.
Step-by-step solution#
- Wait a few minutes, then check the spam, promotions and quarantine folders. Mark Content Uploader's mail as safe.
- Ask again.
- Verification: on the Email verification page, press Resend verification email. It says A new verification link has been sent….
- Password reset: on the sign-in page, Forgot your password? again. One request a minute is allowed.
- Invitation: an owner presses Send again in the waiting list on the Team page (team members).
- Check the address. On a verification page you can Log out and sign up again with the right address. For invitations, an owner withdraws the wrong one and sends a new one.
- For file emails, open the configuration and check that the emails are on; then look at the Uploads page, which has the same information.
- Check who is signed in and who uploaded: the email goes to that person.
How to verify#
The email arrives within a minute or two. File emails also show on the page the link opens.
If it persists#
If no email from Content Uploader ever reaches you, write to support from another address and say which address you registered with. Support never asks for your password.
