Who is Content Uploader for?
Content Uploader suits teams and agencies that keep website content in spreadsheets and need to publish it, and update it, again and again.

Content Uploader is for people who already keep content in a spreadsheet and are tired of copying it into a CMS by hand. You need to be comfortable with Excel (or Google Sheets) and with the administration screens of your own website. You do not need to write code.
Typical users#
- Content and marketing teams who maintain listings, price lists, event calendars, directories or product pages in a spreadsheet and publish them to WordPress or Joomla every week or month.
- Shop owners and merchandisers who keep a WooCommerce shop's prices, sales and stock up to date from a supplier's list or another system, and want to see what changes before it does (WooCommerce).
- Agencies and freelancers who update several client sites. Each site is connected separately, a workspace can have a team, and each team member can be given access to some sites and not others (team members).
- Site owners moving content from an old system. Export it as CSV, map it once and publish it. A one-off import works as well as a recurring one; migrating articles with a CSV is a complete example.
- Anyone who has been burnt by a blind import. Running a basic import twice creates two of everything, and one renamed column can overwrite hundreds of pages. Content Uploader compares first, tells you what will change, and recognises items it has published before.
What fits well#
| You have | Content Uploader gives you |
|---|---|
| A spreadsheet that changes every week | One configuration; each new file shows only what is new, changed or unchanged |
| Content with categories, tags and parent categories | Categories and tags matched under the right parent and created when missing |
| Product or listing images | Images from a ZIP or from web addresses, delivered once and reused |
| Several people involved | A review step, per-site access for team members and a record of every publish |
| A site you cannot afford to break | Nothing is published until you approve it, and Content Uploader never deletes content |
What does not fit#
- Live, two-way synchronisation. Changes made on the website are not copied back, and the website is not updated until you upload a file.
- Platforms other than WordPress and Joomla. Other CMSs are not available. Supported platforms has the full list.
- Deleting content in bulk. Content Uploader creates and updates items. Remove items in your CMS.
Business customers and private persons#
Content Uploader is open to businesses, agencies and private persons with sites of their own. Private persons have the rights consumer law gives them, including a 14-day right to withdraw from a paid subscription; the Terms and the pricing page explain how. This documentation describes the product, not your legal rights, and does not replace either document.
